George P. Bush announced Tuesday that he's running for Texas Land Commissioner in 2014.
Bush currently works as an attorney and consultant in Fort Worth.
As a native Texan -- and Spanish speaker -- Bush says his Republican Party roots run deep.
Bush has worked on a number of G.O.P. campaigns -- including campaigns involving his grandfather, uncle and father.
Bush was also a co-founder of the Hispanic Republicans of Texas.
The Texas Land Commissioner's Office administers state-owned lands and mineral resources. The office is often viewed as a post that can be a stepping stone to a higher office.
