Shooting Death Of Teenager Under Investigation In Lea County, NM

LEA COUNTY, NM -- Lea County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the shooting death of a teenager.

    Deputies reportedly found Michael Burns of Hobbs dead inside a home in the 700 block of West Martin Street (just outside the Hobbs city limits) around 1:45 PM on March 10th.

    Burns, 19, had reportedly been shot in the head.

    Deputies interviewed several people who were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no suspects have been named in the shooting.

    The investigation into the shooting continued Tuesday.
