MIDLAND -- Midland High's DECA Club is headed to Nationals!  They are a marketing club that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

In January, the DECA students competed at the District Debate Competition in San Angelo and placed 1st.  They then moved on to the State Competition in Corpus Christi a couple of weeks ago, and again placed 1st.  The MHS DECA students will now compete at the National Level Competition in Anaheim, CA in April.

Since DECA is a new club at Midland High and only in their second year, they lack financial support for this prestigious event.  There will be four students making the trip to California, and the cost is estimated to be around $8,000.  Due to the fast-approaching State Competition, the DECA students are asking for monetary donations, which will go directly to travel, food, registration, and hotel costs.
