PYOTE -- It's been at the center of controversy. Now, the West Texas State School has closed. Tuesday was the last day.
The last of the students there were transferred to different facilities last week, and now a small staff will stay on to keep the building up while the state tries to sell it.
Employees were all given a chance to move to a different facility if they wanted too.
The state school gained big attention in 2006 after two administrators were accused of molesting students there.
