Oil Stops Gushing

NEW ORLEANS – BP reports oil from the broken well has stopped gushing oil into the Gulf for the first time since April.
Company officials announced Thursday that all valves had been shut on a new cap over the busted well in an experiment to stop the spill.
BP Vice President Kent Wells, made the announcement at a news briefing Tuesday afternoon. He reports that oil stopped flowing into the water at 2:25 p.m. CDT.
