Tracy Black is a victim's advocate at Safe Place and runs the program.
"We had the problem of them not being able to pay for it financially to get the documents, now we have the people helping us," said Black.
The churches are paying for women to get their social security cards, birth certificates, and driver's licenses. Black said the legal documents will help women become self-sufficient.
"It's a great help," she said.
The churches are also paying for women to get their GEDs.
