Three months after the Deepwater Horizon exploded, B.P. plugged the broken well in the Gulf of Mexico. Now, the state of Texas is accusing them of shoddy work at another site.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality recently filed a report to Attorney General Greg Abbott. The report says toxic chemicals were released for 46 straight days at BP's Texas City refinery. An explosion at the refinery killed fifteen workers in 2005.
BP could be fined $25,000 per day for the air quality violations. The company disagrees with the filed report
