Accident with Shots Fired Leaves One Man Dead in Odessa

One man is dead after a car crash in Odessa, but it's not known if the accident is what killed him.

23 year old Luis Roman was pronounced dead at the scene after deputies found his body thrown from one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Early Sunday morning, the Ector County Sheriff's Office got a call concerning an accident in the 4700 block of West University.

According to reports, two people were in the car during the crash and Ramon was thrown from the vehicle. Passanger, Alex Marquez was rushed to hospital, but later released. Right now, investigators believe a second vehicle was involved; one that actually fired shots and hit Ramon's vehicle. Officer's are looking for a large, black SUV involved in this accident.

An autopsy is being performed on Ramon's body Monday morning.
