Man Found with Fatal Gunshot Wound

A man is dead after suffering a gunshot wound to the head in an apartment in Midland.

At 2:10 pm on Friday afternoon, the Midland Police Department responded to a call at The Palms apartments on Briarwood Avenue in Midland.

When arriving on the scene, police found a fatally wounded man and two other individuals in the apartment. The deceased man had a gunshot wound to the head.

The investigation is in preliminary stages, but police believe the shooting may have been an accident. In order to not compromise the investigation, no further details are released at this time.
