Some Midland residents might have experienced a power outage Wednesday evening as an accident knocked down a power line.
This accident happened at Fairgrounds and English Drive near Scharbauer in Midland.
Police say a dump truck hit the power line when it was turning onto Fairgrounds, knocking down five telephone poles. The power line came tumbling into the street and caused two minor fires.
No one was injured, but the road was closed for several hours while crews cleaned things up.
