Pecos Teen Dies After Allegedly Jumping Out of Speeding Truck

The family of the
"He [Arredondo] just said they were driving down the
road talking, when she got upset, opened the door and jumped," said Jerry
Millan, a deputy with the Reeves County Sheriff’s Office.
Garcia’s family admits their love one wasn’t a perfect
person, but they tell Big 2 News she wouldn’t have jumped of out a speeding
vehicle.
“She wouldn't leave her daughter like that, she loved her
too much,” said Garcia’s sister Arely Mendez.
Garcia’s mother is feeling excruciating grief over the death
of her daughter.
"It hurt me,” said Noraina Mendez, Garcia’s mother.
Garcia was Mendez’s youngest daughter and will be the
second daughter she’ll have to bury. Mendez doesn’t believe her daughter was suicidal.
“She was full of life,” she said.
Authorities
tell Big 2 News Arredondo is fully cooperating with them. He has even offered
to take a polygraph test. This case could be taken to a grand jury. Meanwhile,
the family is having a hard time paying for Garcia’s funeral. Tomorrow they’ll
be holding fundraisers at the Pecos Wal-Mart and at the car wash on
