Ector County Trying To Keep Tax Rate Flat

There's been some controversy in Ector County over the county's tax rate.
The county is trying to keep the rate flat, but there would still be a slight tax increase due to property valuations.
At the most recent hearing on Monday, county commissioners narrowly voted to eliminate the Director of Public Works position to try and cut more out of the budget.
County Judge Susan Redford thought the removal of that position was a big mistake.
