A physical education teacher at Hobbs freshman school has died after an early morning car accident.
Police say that Henry Jimenez was heading south on east Marland in Hobbs on his motorcycle when a Ford Explorer pulled out in front of him.
Jiminez was thrown off the bike when it crashed into the SUV. He was taken to Lea Regional Hospital, and was being flown to Lubbock, when his condition got worse.
The chopper made an emergency landing at a hospital in Yokum County, where Jimenez was pronounced dead.
