A teenager was shot on a Midland street early Friday morning. Now, police are looking for the shooter.
A Dodge Stratus was driving up the 700 block of Lincoln Street around 3 AM Friday, when the driver of that vehicle called 17 year-old Derrick Price over. As Price got close to the Stratus, a passenger in the backseat started shooting at him, hitting him in both arms. Then, the car drove away.
Price was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He said he didn't know the people in that vehicle or why he was shot.
Police say the driver of that vehicle was a Hispanic man wearing a baseball cap, but they have no information on the shooter. If anyone knows anything about this crime, they should call Midland Police at (432) 694-8477.
