Police Give Plenty of Tickets in First Week of School Zones

Police have been very busy issuing tickets as the school year gets back into full swing.
Midland I.S.D. Police issued 43 citations during the first week of school. They ranged from speeding and texting in school zones to parking in carpool lanes.
Police say more parents are driving their kids to school this year, making carpool lines longer. his has also pushed up the number of violations.
