Governor Rick Perry flew over some of the areas hardest hid by Tropical Storm Hermine Thursday.
He declared 40 Texas counties "disaster areas" because of the flood damage they suffered. This includes counties along the coast, around Austin, and around the Metroplex.
The storm tore through these counties after making landfall, dropping heavy rains and causing flooding. There were also tornadoes last night in Dallas and Ellis counties.
Two people are confirmed dead, and four more are still missing.
