The Permian Basin Fair doesn't officially open until Friday, but some people got an early look at some of the art for sale Thursday night.
Building G was open to the public for a wine and cheese party. But it was also a chance for people to see the different arts and crafts that are for sale. They include paintings, dolls, needlepoint, sculpture, and more.
"These folks that bring their crafts into the arena, they spend many many hours, days, months working on itmes, so this gives them a pre-opening where hey can show of some work," Executive Director of Creative Arts Joyce Miller told Big 2.
Miller says there is one painter in particular who does renaissance style art that has even been invited to show their work at the Louvre.
