Some West Texas Border Patrol agents seized hundreds of pounds of marijuana Wednesday morning.
Agents were running an immigration check on a pickup truck at the Highway 67 checkpoint in Marfa when they found 845 pounds of the drug sealed in metal containers. The containers were hidden in an extra gas tank on the bed of the truck.
Agents said the driver was a U.S. citizen from Midland. He was turned over to the D.E.A., which also seized the truck and the drugs.
