Charges Dropped Against 17 year old Andrews High Football Player

Yesterday, an Andrews High School football player was arrested and thrown behind bars. Now, the player is out of jail and speaking out. 17 year old Skyler Henson was charged with several different felonies involving "sexting". Basically, sexting is when two people exchange sexual photographs. The district attorney's office in Andrews wants to make it clear that Henson wasn't charged with having kiddy porn or images of children.
Today, Henson went before a judge and all charges were dropped. The 17 year old told Big 2, his good name has been dragged through the dirt all because of an facebook posting that wasn't even true.
"My son is a good kid, he's not a child molester, he doesn't go around taking kiddy porn pictures he doesn't have naked pictures on his phone," says Henson’s mother, Kimberlea Orson.
Henson is trying to clear his name.
"We were on the bus and they guy sitting next to me was showing everybody all the naked pictures he had on his phone," explains Henson.
Who also said this same guy asked him if he had any naked pictures on his phone.
"So he takes my phone while I'm texting and passes it around the bus and then gets mad and tells everybody on facebook, makes this big old wall post, that I was showing all the football players on the bus naked pictures of myself," says Henson.
"From a rumor, this is how this all got started and now he has to defend his name," explains Orson.
Soon the Andrews police department heard of this facebook message and Henson was booked.
"We've got a really good son and we trusted that everything was going to be fine," says Henson’s Dad, Walter Henson.
Tuesday morning, Henson was let out jail and all charges were removed.
"Weight was off my shoulder, I spent all day yesterday stressing, thinking about how things were going to change and to know I have a second chance to go out and do what I want to do," says Henson.
The 17 year old wants to be a football coach one day and hopes this situation won't haunt him again one day. "I'm a good person. I'm not a trouble maker," says Henson.
The charges were dropped Tuesday, but the situation is under further investigation and will be presented to an Andrews County Grand Jury.
