Midland Celebrates World Habitat Day

People around the world united yesterday in an effort to eliminate poverty housing. And here in Midland volunteers are working hard to make that happen.
Habitat for Humanity in Midland built their 101 home last Friday and do not plan on stopping there. Renae Ludrick of Habitat in Midland is proud of what the Midland community has accomplished.
"Housing is a very basic human need and Midland Habitiat is dedicated to erasing poverty housing, substandard, overcrowded housing in the Midland County area, said event and volunteer Renae Ludrick. "And we're very fortunate to have the support of the whole Midland city."
Midland builds about 8 Habitat homes per year. If you would like to volunteer or apply for housing you can do so on their website at www.midlandhabitat.org.
