Man Arrested For April Odessa Shooting

    A man who police say shot an elderly woman on a porch in Odessa is behind bars.
    John Thomas Peterson, 45, was arrested in Galveston on September 17th for aggravated assault. He was extradited to Ector County on Sunday.
    Peterson was wanted for the April shooting of 78 year-old Juanita Canady. Canady was sitting on her friend's front porch when she was shot in the leg.
    Peterson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct - both felonies. He's being held on $135,000 bond.
