The rescue of the miners has captivated people around the world, including people here in the Permian Basin.
"I saw it last night and I thought it was great," Roy Bermea told Big 2. "I saw the first guy come up and I was real happy for the family. The little boy who hugged his dad. It was awesome."
"It's tragic," said Miriam Conner. "It's so bad that, I wouldn't like to be down there. But I'm so happy that they're out."
"I watched about the first five or six, or probably six, seven and eight this morning, and it was a tearjerkers for most of them," added Garth Bright. "It was really pretty cool."
"I watched it last night," said Permelia Smith. "I watched it this morning. God is good. That's all I got to say. God is spectacular."
