New Details On School Bus Crash Near Big Lake

There are new details on a school bus accident that sent several children to different hospitals Wednesday around 4:30 PM.
D.P.S. Troopers say that Connie Levario had pulled her Reagan County school bus to a stop to let some kids out. That's when troopers say that Brandon Cain, an Odessa man driving a chemical truck, crashed into the back of the truck sending both vehicles into the ditch. Troopers say it looks like he fell asleep behind the wheel.
Eight children were injured in the crash, along with Levario. Four kids and the bus driver were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital. Two other kids were flown to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, and another was flown to Medical Center Hospital.
At this time, no charges have been filed.
