MIDLAND -- In 2009 a new element was added to the MISD Celebration of Lights Storytelling Festival. Children from different age categories were chosen to come and tell stories along with some of the national guests, and it was a huge success.

That's why they are doing it again for the 2010 festival.

There are workshops being held Oct. 21st, Oct. 28th, and Nov. 18th at Pease Elementary School on 1700 East Magnolia.  All of those workshops open at 6:00pm and are open to children from around the Permian Basin, not just Midland.

At those workshops the kids will be shown how to better tell stories, and get help in crafting a story. Then there is a contest on Nov. 19th when winners in different age groups will be chosen. They will then participate in the festival on December 10th.

Sue Roseberry came by Good Morning West Texas to tell us about it. Check out her interview to learn more.
