Man Stabbed to Death at Zia Park

HOBBS -- A man was stabbed to death in Hobbs, NM Tuesday.
    The stabbing happened at the Zia Park Casino and Racetrack at around 5:30 PM Tuesday. Hobbs Police say that Amadeo Herrera, 47, confronted Julian Ortiz Torres, 34, and a woman near the horse stables. Torres and Herrera got into a fight. At some point, police say Torres pulled out a knife and stabbed Herrera repeatedly.
    Herrera was taken to Lea Regional Hospital, where he died. Torres fled to Ruidoso, where he was arrested. He's being held on $500,000 bond.
