ODESSA -- The man accused of killing his wife in a botched exorcism has been found guilty of murder.

Jan David Clark was charged with murdering his wife Susan in 2008. He confessed to the crime, but also said that he didn't actually do it, since it was the result of a botched exorcism.

On Thursday Clark took the stand to try and explain his position to the jury, saying that he was in control of his mind, but not in control of his body. He also said he was devastated when he realized that his wife was dead.

The prosecution, meanwhile, was skeptical... and pointed out that Clark hadn't called an ambulance for his wife.

The jury heard closing arguments Thursday afternoon, and found Clark guilty of murder in less than 30 minutes.
