General Electric Issues Dishwasher Recall

There is a recall involving a dishwasher that could potentially catch fire.
General Electric is recalling two specific models of dishwashers after getting five reports of the machines catching fire. The recall involves all G.E. profile dishwashers that were manufactured between July of 2003 and December of 2005. They're also recalling all G.E. monogram dishwashers manufactured between January 2004 and December 2006.
Anyone using one of these products is urged to stop using it immediately. You can contact G.E. for a free in-home repair. They're also offering customers a rebate to purchase a new dishwasher.

General Electric and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have issued a joint announcement that 174,000 General Electric dishwashers face a recall because of a defect in construction that can lead to fire. The models in question during this GE dishwasher recall include the General Electric Profile and GE Monogram dishwashers.
