MIDLAND -- A Midland teacher is behind bars for allegedly selling drugs to former students.
Deborah Morton was indicted by the El Paso division of the D.E.A. and arrested in Lubbock on Wednesday. Three others were also arrested.
The indictment says that Morton, 56, and the others gave out hydrocodone, oxycodone and marijuana less than 1000 feet from Alamo Junior High School between September 2007 and October 13, 2010.
If convicted, Morton faces between one and 40 years in federal prison.
