ANDREWS -- November elections are almost here. And after decades of debate in Andrews County on whether or not to remain a dry county, there's a lot riding on Tuesday's vote.
Andrews will vote on two options placed on their ballot on Tuesday. They'll vote on whether or not to sell alcohol in restaurants (Option #1) and/or buy and sell beer and wine within the city limits for public consumption (Option #2). These two options on the ballot will determine whether or not alcohol sales will be made legal in Andrews county.
Some residents in favor of making Andrews a wet county formed a group called Promote Andrews. They were able to get almost 2,000 residents to sign a petition in the spring, and that was enough to get the issue on the ballot.
