And it looks like Odessa College is getting that 68.5 million dollar bond.
As numbers showed 63% of people were for the bond while 37% of people were against it.
This means that more than half of Ector County residents approved of the colleges plans.
Odessa College has not asked for community money in 35 years.
And this bond that they placed on the ballot is something the college feels they desperately needed.
The bond will build five new buildings and renovate several others.
It will also create a hands on fire training program and nursing program.
Enrollment has steadily increased each semester at the college, which created space issues.
I spoke with President Gregory Williams and he said he hopes the bond will solve that problem.
He also feels this bond will not only benefit the college.
"I think we can make college more exciting, we can make it better, we can attract more students. I think all of that will help us and also will improve the work force in this community that will attract businesses. and again improve the city of Odessa," said President of OC, Gregory Williams.
Now this bond will only cost you about 36 dollars per year or 3 dollars a month.
Now the only thing the college is going to have to worry about construction.
Williams told me he hopes renovations will be finished in just 3 years.
