A vehicle accident from over the weekend kills three people including a 2-year-old child and sends four others to the hospital. It happened just after 10 o'clock on Friday night, about nine miles east of Kermit on State Highway 302.

DPS Troopers say 30-year-old Amanda Jane Henderson of Wink was traveling eastbound in her 1995 GMC Jimmy. She crossed over into the westbound lane and crashed into a 2005 Pontiac Grandam, which was driven by 24-year-old Joel Ramos of Kermit. Both Henderson and Ramos were pronounced dead at the scene, along with 2-year-old Christian Ramos, who was also in the Pontiac.

Injured in the GMC were 35-year-old Dustin John Burrows of Mentone, and 7-year-old Shawn Burrows, also of Mentone. Both are currently listed in critical condition.

Injured in the Pontiac were 22-year-old Keeri Johnson of Kermit, and 4-year-old Ezequial Ramos, also of Kermit. Both of them are also listed in critical condition at this time.

DPS tell us that neither driver was wearing a seat belt, and it's unclear if the 2-year-old, who died, was strapped in.
