MIDLAND -- Four Midlanders are still without a home after a fire blazed through their apartments.
The fire happened around lunch time Sunday at The Dakotas Apartments off Loop 250 and "A" Street. Police evacuated the entire building but luckily everyone was OK.
Firefighters said that it was an electrical glitch that started the flames. The apartment that started the fire damaged the other units above it.
Tony Waggoner's apartment is now filled with smoke. He has to live in a model apartment with his wife and baby, but he is grateful for the Red Cross and other first responders for their support.
"In light of the situation, it has been a great experience in the aftermath and seeing what the people of Midland could do to really help you out," said Waggoner.
