I-20 Wildlife Preserve Looking for Funding

MIDLAND -- If you haven't heard of the I-20 Wildlife Preserve, you aren't the only one. Many call it one of the Tall Cities Hidden Treasures.
Now, that treasure needs some upgrades, including handicapped accessible trails through the property. However, that takes a lot of money to ensure that it's done right.
So far the group has raised $600,000 towards their goal of building those trials. However, they need to raise $1 Million by November 15th. That's why they're looking for donations. If they get the money, they'll get matching money from Texas Parks and Wildlife. If not, the money reverts to the General Fund.
When finished there would be boardwalks, teaching platforms, and more. This is the first of several moves to enhance the property.
