MIDLAND/ODESSA -- Both Midland and Odessa continue to show signs that they have comfortably emerged from the recession.
In Midland, November sales tax revenue numbers have been released, and the numbers spell good news. The Tall City brought in close to $2.5 million, up almost 20 percent from November 2009. This shows that local consumers are spending more money, as they've become more comfortable with the state of the economy.
In Odessa, things are even better. November sales tax revenue there is up almost 25 percent from the same time in 2009. Odessa also pulled in close to $2.5 million.
All of the numbers are based off of September sales, and are expected to keep increasing as we go into the holiday season.
