Four Sentenced for Copper Wire Thefts

MIDLAND -- Four out of five men accused of stealing and damaging oilfield equipment have been sentenced.
    Branten Rhodes and David Finnegan were given 2 years in federal prison. Patrick O'Connor was given 27 months and Ruben Lara, Jr. received a 15-month sentence. The men are accused of stealing copper wire from oil rigs around West Texas and causing damage at the sites.
    A fifth suspect - Shawn O'Connor - is still waiting to be sentenced.
