The United Way of Odessa is wrapping up its 2010 fundraising campaign with a Finale Tuesday night. We sit down with Campaign Director, Jeff Whitsell, for a recap of the year and sneak-peak of the event.

The Finale is scheduled for 5 pm, Tuesday, November 16, at the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Office, 700 North Grant, Suite 200.

"We have had a wonderful campaign this year," Tom Pursel, United Way of Odessa Executive Director, said. "This community really supports the United Way of Odessa and always steps up to lend a hand."

The United Way of Odessa funds 26 program services for 16 agencies in Ector County. In 2009-2010, the United Way of Odessa allocated $1,155,500 to support the following focus areas: Helping Kids Succeed, Assisting People in Crisis, Building Strong Families, and Supporting Basic Needs.
