ODESSA -- December 1st is World AIDS Day, and two local colleges took to honor and pray for all of those affected by the disease.
U.T.P.B. hosted several events Wednesday, including guest speakers who've been affected by the disease, a luncheon, free HIV testing and a balloon release. The events honor everyone who's living with or has died because of AIDS.
"I think it's especially important in this area because it's something that a lot of people just don't know about and I think it needs to be made known about the virus and about what it does," U.T.P.B. Student Joneisha Anderson told Big 2.
