Odessa Man Charged For Beer Bottle Attack

ODESSA -- A West Odessa man is behind bars after police say he hit a woman with a beer bottle.
Johnny Valdez, 24, was charged with aggravated assault Wednesday. According to The Odessa American, Valdez slammed his girlfriend to the ground in her apartment and then smashed a beer bottle into her face. The victim was taken to Medical Center Hospital for a head wound.
Valdez was already behind bars for another assault when he was charged for the attack. He's being held on more than $76,000 bond.
