MIDLAND-- The City of Midland hasn't had a full-time Fire Chief since March, but Tuesday people came out to welcome the new chief.
Robert Isbell previously served as the Fire Chief of the Euless Fire Department, and said this was an opportunity he couldn't pass up. He also said it was overwhelming to see all of the people that came to greet him. Most of all, he's excited to meet all of his fellow firefighters.
"If I take care of all of these guys here, the firefighters, it delivers a great service for our community," Isbell told Big 2. "And it's very fulfilling to know that my job is to take care of these firefighters."
Former Midland Fire Chief Russ Conley retired back in March after 26 years with the Midland Fire Department.
