ODESSA -- A Nimitz Junior High teacher will not be facing criminal charges after an investigation into an alleged improper relationship between her and a student. However, she won't be teaching with E.C.I.S.D. either.

The investigation found no evidence that Elizabeth Velasco "sexted" or had any kind of sexual relationship with a student. However, the district did feel that her actions were a violation of the Texas Educators Code of Ethics.

Velasco will now resign on February 1st, and she will stay on paid administrative leave until then.
