Reeves County Commissioners To Vote On New Budget Tuesday

PECOS -- The debate over the Reeves County budget has been a hot topic recently, and it's bogged down the county's government for months.

    Commissioners were supposed to meet to vote on a new budget Monday, but that meeting has been pushed back to Tuesday. The meeting comes after proposed budget was turned down in a Pecos council meeting in November. Three commissioners and the county judge voted on the budget and the votes were split in half. Since the budget had to be approved unanimously, the vote failed. Because the vote failed, Reeves County is operating without a budget.

    Tuesday's meeting is expected to last all day.
