The blaze flared up just before 8 PM Monday, and two apartments were affected by the blaze. Fire investigators tell Big 2 that lint in a dryer ignited, causing the fire. The fire started in the wall between the units, but quickly melted a water line clamp, allowing the water to flow free like a sprinkler and douse the flames.
Neither apartment was badly damaged, but the burst water line caused some water damage.
