ODESSA-- The 22-year old accused of pretending to be a teenager at Permian High School now knows when his trial will start.

Guerdwich Montimer will go to trial in early August in Ector County. It's a trial that's bound to get national attention. Montimer allegedly lied about his age, pretending to be 16-year old Jerry Joseph, so he could play basketball at Permian High School.

As he became noticed for his athletic skill, E.C.I.S.D. was notified that "Joseph" might actually have already graduated from a Florida school. He was later arrested and charged with a series of misdemeanors. Eventually, Montimer was charged with identity theft and sexual assault of a child, for an alleged relationship he had with another Permian student.

After the arrest, Permian had to forfeit every game where Montimer played.
