Big Spring Bans Synthetic Marijuana

BIG SPRING -- Big Spring City Council members had a lot to discuss during Tuesday's meeting. One of the major topics they discussed was synthetic marijuana - also known as K-2 and Salvia.
The council amended Chapter 13 of the city ordinance - which is health and safety. They added a new chapter to the ordinance called "Illegal Smoking Material."
The new legislation means that it's now illegal to smoke, sell or possess synthetic pot in Big Spring. Anyone caught with the drug could face a fine of up to $2,000.
