The record for hottest temperature on December 15th is 76 set back in 1977. Well it's time to set a new one as temps are likely jumping to near 80 this afternoon! Along with the heat, wind will be a problem as gusts approach 40 mph in the Basin and 60 mph in the mountains. tonight winds will weaken and temps will drop to the middle 30's and only warm to near 60 Thursday with 40's expected Friday as a cold front creeps through the Basin! The weekend will still be salvaged with temps back near 60 Saturday and 70's Sunday under sunny skies!
