Arturo Rodriguez turned himself in to Ward County authorities on Sunday. Texas Rangers say that Rodriguez performed a sexual act with a female student at his home in September 2008. The victim reported the alleged incident to the Rangers in November.
An arrest affidavit says that Rodriguez confessed to the crime before turning himself in. He's currently out of jail on $50,000 bond.
Along with coaching football, Rodriguez is also the district's athletic director, basketball coach, track and field coach and principal. The district has not commented on his current status with the school.
