Midland Police say the incident happened at Cuthbert and Midkiff Tuesday evening. Police say the driver of an Impala was texting and driving and almost crashed into the back of a Suburban several times. Finally, the driver couldn't hit the brakes fast enough, and slammed into the other vehicle.
The crash was a prime example of why police say people should never text and drive.
"Don't do it, ever," Midland police officer Justin Bunch told Big 2. "You've got to take your eyes off the road. You never know what's going to happen. Especially this time of year, there's a lot more traffic on the road then normal. People are in a hurry to get places, they're impatient."
Police say no one suffered serious injuries in the crash. They also add that if people need to send a text, they should pull off the road first.
