Don't travel to Mexico.
American officials are reminding citizens that they can't guarantee their safety, since the drug wars going on between cartels have become increasingly violent. While plenty of people have traveled to Mexico safely and Americans aren't being targeted, there is still a major risk south of the border.
"There is that possibility of going out and getting caught in a crossfire," D.P.S. Trooper John Barton told Big 2. "They're going out and doing things like beheadings, the shootings, drive by shootings -- things like that."
There have been travel warnings for Mexico out for months now since that country remains unstable. If anyone does choose to go there, officials tell them to use extreme caution and be aware of their surroundings at all times.
