MIDLAND -- That fresh Christmas tree helped bring the holidays into your home, but by now, it's starting to dry out and rain needles.

The City of Midland has two places where you can take those old trees and drop them off. They include RECOM on Industrial and the Hogan Park softball field. The city is also taking trees at the Yard Waste Drop Site, north of the Claydesta Post Office. The city will mulch the trees.

Putting used trees anywhere else is considered dumping. Trees can become fire hazards if left in brush.
