Midland Man Arrested For Shooting At Ex-Girlfriend

MIDLAND -- A Midland man is behind bars, accused of shooting at his ex-girlfriend.
Justin Davis, 25, was arrested early Sunday morning after a Midland Police officer found him chasing another vehicle around town in his Cadillac and pulled him over.
An arrest affidavit says that 23-year-old Ashley Merritt was driving the vehicle Davis was following and 20-year old Darrell Mitchell was riding in the back seat.
Davis told the officer that Merritt was his girlfriend and that he was angry at her, so he was following her around town. But Mitchell said he heard a gunshot coming from Davis' vehicle and the officer found a loaded Glock 9 mm in Davis' glove compartment.
Davis is behind bars, charged with deadly conduct.
